Wither Hills
Wither Hills

The Wither Hills above Blenheim are an iconic landscape, often associated with the many vineyards in the region. In 2013, after a long period of drought, the landscape had become barren and 'withered'. I chose to use monochrome for this image to emphasise the dry, scorched appearance of the hills, more closely resembling a lunar landscape than something we normally associate with such a lush and productive region.
